New painting

Finally… My first painting of 2016 is a fact. I had to move to another studio in December, so it took a while before I could pick up a brush again and start painting. I got inspired by traditional Japanese paintings and I wanted to make a mix of old and modern, so I designed an outfit for this lovely lady and placed the character in her desolate habitat. Of course she has a dear partner in the form of a Scissortail (or something that is based on that kind of bird). Hopefully I’ll have a good photo so I can post the full painting on my site.
